Has anyone tried one of these? I read a blog about it last year, and how much work it was for the blogger to pull off. He really thought out his shots and planned ahead. I know myself well enough to know that's not going to happen, so I dismissed the idea.
Last week, one of of the teachers at my school was doing a project like that with her class. She was creating a timeline of their day and snapped a photo each half-hour.
Now, I am obsessed with the idea of doing this. I wish I had done it when I was still home with my kids. It would be hard now, with a job and all, unless I did it on a weekend.
Anyone have any advice?

I started it today. I only have about two hours left...the pictures aren't special, but they are documenting my life. I'll share tomorrow once I get them edited and the blog posted.

I took the pictures yesterday and I thought long and hard about writing it up for my blog. And then I decided that 34 pictures were too many for a post, so I just created a set on Flickr.
It was actually quite fun to take them. Typing up the descriptions is for the birds, though.

This is such a fun idea, Shannon! Michelle did a series like this for the Winter Blues workshop, and it looked like so much fun...although, when I look at what my life has been like the last few weeks, it's basically comprised of waking up, eating breakfast, sitting in my over-stuffed red chair with my laptop until it's time for dinner, and then bed. Hmmm...is this a sign I'm a work-aholic and need to get a life, or that it's just winter and there's nothing else going on. I think I prefer the latter! ;)

In reality, I didn't shoot anything very exciting. I was suprised by some of the positive comments I got because I figured it would be totally boring for others.
I saw Michelle's in the magazine. I am grateful for those ideas. I need some inspiration!

Shannon, your photos are not boring at all! I just looked through them and it was so fun getting a peek into your life! I think I want to get some sparkly headbands now. :)

I loved it! Were you going around your house like "hmmmm what interesting thing could I take a picture of next"?
Very creative I just might try it.

Oh. Angela, try it! It's fun! And I had no troubles at all deciding what I wanted to shoot. I just kept the camera with me and took a picture when the mood struck me. It helped that I completed a project 365 and I took some very random shots for that.
If you do it, please share! I love to look at OPP. (Other people's photos! Oh my gosh, I just totally dated myself. Anyone else remember that song?)

lol...does admitting I remember (and loved) that song date me too?
As I was going through my mundane routine today I kept thinking, hmm this would make a neat picture.
I really need something to break out of this winter funk I'm in. I tend to want to take "pretty" pictures and everywhere I look outside everything is Blah (upstate NY in February....yuck)
I love your ideas and the ideas I read about in the winter blues workshop.
Time to act on them!

I know what you mean about the winter blahs. I'm in central Illinois and it has been the most bizarre winter. We have had very little snow and barely any days below freezing. All I have had is dead grass to look at for the past two months. YUCK. I got a gift in the mail from a friend today and spent about half an hour shooting it. I'll share some photos later!

Ok, I got them uploaded to Flickr. I have a dear friend who makes beautiful jewelry I took some photos of her jewelry at a craft fair and I got a really awesome one of this particular bracelet, so she added a camera charm and a cat charm and sent it to me. Here are some of my faves:

Lol...ummm I had no idea it was going to do that. In Flickr I made a "set" then just copy and pasted the URL here.

The slideshow is pretty neat but you can only read the descriptions if you stop it and go one by one.

Shannon, the last photo with the heart bokeh is so fun!

Angela, I'm loving your series of photos. This is such a cool idea, and I have yet to do it. I think I'm going to put it on my schedule for tomorrow. *crossing fingers that I remember* I hope to report with my photos this weekend!

By the way...Angela, I LOVE the product placement at the end of your day! ;)

I finally got to see this. I couldn't get it to work on my iPad. Love it! Love the slideshow.
I think my favorite was the goodnight kiss from Dad. What a sweet photo. Thanks for sharing.

Phew! That seemed like a photo-taking marathon! But I finally completed my Day in the Life photos, and put this collage together this morning. I had to hold back on the shots of my computer screen...that seems to be what my days are made up of usually. This is a typical Friday for me...
  • Wake up and make breakfast, which is usually a fruit/veggie smoothie.
  • Make the bed.
  • Wake up my computer, and check/answer email.
  • Load the dishwasher.
  • Balance the checkbooks, and make a meal plan.
  • Get in the car and turn on the tunes.
  • Mail some bills, then buy a few groceries.
  • Return home to finish up some work...yesterday, it was finishing up a blog post and newsletter.
  • Then, it's date night! Steve and I usually do a date night every Friday...usually it's a relaxing night at home, but last night we decided to go to an arcade and shoot some hoops and play Skee Ball.
  • Then it was time to relax and watch Blue Bloods...our regular Friday night TV show.
I challenged myself to use my Lensbaby all day...I especially love the effect on the arcade photos!
