Hi, having trouble deciding on how I want to set up my workflow. I normally start in Lightroom and then move over to PS CS5 for my most of my crative editing and finishing touches, But I find this takes a while any suggestions to help move things along?
How do you get a consistant look to a group of photos without using an action? I mainly work with Nik Filters. Any Suggestions? Thanks.

I'd love to hear answers to this too!
I know people will be appalled, but I use Picasa to do my cropping and then open them up in Photoshop. I can fly through the cropping in Picasa.

I'm working on a work flow myself. The last couple of times, I've tried to cull my photos by ranking three, four, or five stars (keepers, I think). Then, I use the filter to show only the three star plus photos. Then I flag the ones I want to work with. For example, yesterday, I went into town and shot 91 photos in about an hour and half. Using the stars, I culled it down to 30, and then the flags to 18. After that, I opened the photos in Photoshop (CS5) for the final tweaking. I reacquainted myself with the Love That Shot Essentials actions, and it made a difference in the photos.

I hope that made sense.

Yes, that makes sense, Olivia! I should add that I go through the photos in Picasa and delete the ones that I think are junk. I have gotten better at deleting them. My computer is old and slow and it would take way too long to open them all up in Photoshop.

I should have also said that I used the Quick Develop feature in Lightroom's Library mode to make initial adjustments before working with them in CS5. That helped speed up the workflow as well.
